SOCIAL AWARENESS PROGRAMME
Jeevalaya conducted its first social awareness programme of the academic year 2005-06
with a new spirit and enthusiasm on 5th and 6th August 2005. We spent the two days
helping and making all the necessary arrangements for the national gathering of
FBA (Friends of the Birds of the Air). FBA is a volunteer association founded
by Rev. Fr. George Kuttickal, mcbs to help and organize the last, least and lost of the
society like beggars, street children, mentally retarded etc. The participation in the gathering gave
a conviction and awareness to dedicate ourselves for the cause of the poor where
we can see the clear face of the crucified Lord.

VISITATION FROM ROME
Prof. Luigi Sabbarese, the Dean of the faculty of Canon Law at the Urban University in
Rome visited Jeevalaya Institute of Philosophy on 26 September 2005. It is a landmark in
the history of Jeevalaya as he is the first official visitor to our Institute from Rome.
The whole day he spent with us and there were formal gatherings with the students and staff.
He also took the opportunity to see various the facilities provided in the institute and giving
a very good impression about the institute he returned on the same day evening to
St. Peter's Seminary for his official programmes.
